MoniDIR 97 - version 1.0 This simple freeware utility will keep track of up to 5 different Windows 95 directories. As soon as the contents of one of the directories changes you will be notified with an alarm and the list of files that have changed. You can select the time interval in which to check your directories and you can also select which sound file that will be played. As soon as you activate MoniDIR, it will disappear and go into the Windows 95 System Tray. Every xx seconds (a number that you specify) it will scan the directories that you specified for monitoring. If a change occurrs in one of the directories a screen will popup and the alarm will sound. The screen will display the files that have been added, changed or deleted. The contents of the screen that contains the changed files can be printed. Who can use MoniDIR? This utility is handy in a network environment where you may have several 'incoming' directories that you want to keep track of. As soon as a user deposits a file into one of your incoming directories you will be notified. Another possible use is to monitor the C:\WINDOWS and C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory before you install a new program. MoniDIR will tell you which files were installed or changed.
