The above two lines were in the 1.0 release of Adr_Book. It has been a fairly successful product and I actually have been able to take Alberta out for a couple of very nice evenings. Thank you for your registrations. b. HOW DO I REGISTER? --------------------- Method 1: Postal mail your order to: Brown Bear Software 1231 Redwood Ct. Anchorage AK 99508 USA With this method we will send you a disk with the latest version of Adr_Book. Be sure to include your name and address. There is a registration form that can be printed from the online help of Adr_Book. Method 2: Electronic. This is my favorite method of registration. By this method we will either email you the latest registered version as an attachment or point you to a web page that allows downloading of a registered copy. This has a couple of advantages. First there is no shipping and handling cost. Second, we are assured that you have received the product. (I am always concerned about the postal mail. You send a check, I send a disk, I cash the check, you don't receive the disk. Yuck!) To initiate this method all you need to do is send me an Email message. mikeg@alaska.net Some people find me friendly..... at times :-) Method 3: Call Brown Bear Software at 907-278-1231 (This is in Alaska) c. WHAT WILL IT COST ME? ------------------------ Individual Copy: A copy for personal use is $24.95 US. This allows you to have a copy on a system at home and work. Network Copy: A copy that will be placed on a network is $49.95 US. This is a copy that will be using the web serving feature for multi-user access. There is a $2.00 US charge for postal mailing a disk in the US or Canada. There is a $5.00 US charge for postal mailing a disk to any other location in the world. There is no shipping and handling charge if the software is delivered electronically. We can take Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. A check written on US funds also works just fine. For credit card orders be sure to include number and expiration date. We am sorry to say that we can not cash Eurocheques, as banks here in the USA want to charge us $35 for handling. We make every effort to get all orders shipped as quickly as possible. Oh! and we would like to hear any comments and suggestions that you might have. Hints ---------------- One feature of Adr_Book not clearly stated anywhere concerns configuration information associated with a data file. Items such , how labels are to be offset for printing, what fields should be displayed in the graphical address book, etc. are part of the configuration stored with each data file. Almost all items that you set will be stored when you perform a save of your file. If you make a change to a record in your data, Adr_Book will ask you when you exit if you want to save this change. This is not true if you make a configuration change only. Remember, if you make a configuration item change, and you want it to be a permanent change, SAVE your data file. 7.
