1. The program's purpose. Notebook emulates a paper research notebook. Its interface is designed to work with you, letting you make notes as you work without disrupting your train of thought. Notes are organized by the day they are entered, even time stamped if you choose. You can search either by text or by date, recalling names, numbers, dates, ideas, anything of which you'd like to keep track. Notebook also includes a Calendar with alarms and summaries, list manager, stopwatch and intelligent synchronizing capabilities if you happen to work on more than one computer. You can print notes, search results, lists and the calendar. If you take notes or are just plagued with scraps of paper, URLs and other information which you can't bear to throw away but are tired of looking at, check this out.
