Member and Donation Tracking System SETUP Instructions
         
     1.  Make a hard disk directory (read your DOS manual)
         CD\                  get to "root" of hard drive
         MD\???               where ??? is a name you pick
     2.  COPY A:*.* C:\???    (or COPY B:*.* D:\???) (or "whatever")
                              where ??? is your directory name
     3.  Change to your directory
         CD\???               where ??? is a name you pick
     4.  M4                   starts the program
     5.  Read the M4.TXT manual
         COPY M4.TXT PRN      to print
     6.   Be sure that your CONFIG.SYS file has the following two lines:
          These are minimum values for M4.EXE to work.
               BUFFERS=20
               FILES=20


     TO UPDATE FROM VERSION 3.2 TO THE JANUARY 1991 VERSION 4.2.9

     You MUST copy the following update files to your MDTS directory!!!
          see STEP 2, above
     
     Enter the command M4UPDATE (see M4UPDATE.BAT)
        
     AFTER you copy your old files and program to a "just-in-case" disk,
     you may delete the original files listed above, and MDT3.EXE also.
     
     Remember to enter DEL *.NTX before restarting the program.
     

     To update from version T copy/rename as above EXCEPT:
      -- Do NOT enter the command COPY MEMBERS.DBF A04_MBER.DBF
      -- Doing so WILL CAUSE DATA DESTRUCTION      
     
     Version 3 (and later, including version 4) has a different file
     structure than that of Version T (and earlier) for members.
     
     Start M4.EXE and then press U from the main menu (with the old file
     MEMBERS.DBF present) to append (copy) data from old format to new.
