DESQview is a program written by Quarterdeck Office Systems of Santa
Monica, California, USA.  It allows true preemptive multitasking /JB(see Q9)/q9.txt/ on 8088, 8086, 80286, 80386, 80486, V20 and V30 machines running
MS-DOS /JB(see Q4)/q4.txt/. While MS-DOS is still considered the PC's operating
system, DESQview provides services similar to more advanced multitasking
operating systems.
