I finished work on version 1.4 in September 1991, but I already have plans
for the next version, 1.5! Right now plans call for it to be ready in
January/February 1992. New features on the drawing board:
- New benchmark tests to support DOS filehandling, improve math co-processor
  testing, test extended memory and floppy disk drives, speed of graphics,
  more thorough microprocessor testing
- 486SX, 386SX, 8514A and Super-VGA support
- identification of CPU clock-frequency
- and much more ... I usually come up with the best ideas when I work on
  something else


PC-BENCH HISTORY
================

PCBENCH developed from MS-Assembler over Turbo-C 1.0 and 1.5 to the
final form it is offered to you today. It is written in TC 2.0
and Assembler. It totals over 100 k in C source code and 20 k in ASM.
The first version was out November 1988, this version was completed in
September 1991. All coding was done by Aki Korhonen.
