I think I have an item of interest to you.  Several months back I was 
working on a project which included working with a proprietary banking 
network.  This was my first encounter with ENQ, STX, SOH, ETX, ACK. etc.
I had to make a small table of characters with the hex number and refer
to ASCII charts to checkout CRC's.  Then, I remembered the '60s & '70s
when I worked in an IBM 360 assembler environment where, for 8 years, I
*always* had a green trifold card on my desk to work with EBCDIC.  
Finnaly, it hit me, here is a need to be filled! 

So I produced a chart (22.5"h x 26.5"w) on glossy white poster paper. 
The Chart shows for each of the possible 256 bit configurations: 
      (1) The decimal, octal and hexadecimal numbers.
      (2) The ASCII, ANSI (windows) and EBCDIC characters. 
All in large type size which can be viewed from a distance.  It took a
lot of effort for research, revisions, font editing for special
characters, lining up rows and columns, etc. Now it is ready for distri-
bution.

People have said to me "I have several S/W manuals that have an ASCII 
chart".  That's the point...why stop what you are doing, find a manual 
and then find the page.  What a pain!  Besides, some only show the 
first 128 postions. it's so much easier to simply move your eyes to the 
Chart.  Also, there is nothing available anywhere that has the volume
of information that can be viewed from a distance.

For the techie, student or anyone who wants some computer related stuff.
