You may freely distribute FTOOL, as long as all files from the archive are included. FTOOL V2.00 contains 7 fine tools, all written in assembly language to make them have high efficiency and small size, as the following: (1) P-PROTC.COM - Make arbitrary partitions you assigned on hard drive be reading- or writing- or completely protected. Comp- letely consistent with MS-DOS. Occupy only 240 bytes in memory. (2) KBCODE.COM - Check ASCII code, extended ASCII code, pressing scan code and releasing scan code for every single key or combined keys. (3) MKP.COM - Keep on hard disk the MCB chain and a DOS data area in memory larger than 32K. Pressing Print-Screen restores them and clears all the programs loaded behind MKP.COM away. Occupy only 800 bytes in memory. (4) MCL.COM - Keep interruption vectors and MCB chain in memory, and clear all the program loaded behind it by pressing Scroll-Lock. Occupy 1.5K in memory. Used in the case that Print-Screen can not be used as a hot-key. (5) TAKEPATH.COM - Used in batch files to record the current path into an assigned batch file, and return back to the current directory from anywhere by calling this assigned batch file. (6) REPEAT.COM - Used in batch files to change the options of the batch file while this batch file is being executed. (7) BAT_COM.COM - Transform any a batch file not larger than 10K into a COM program. Ocuppy only 560 bytes in memory when it is being executed. Every program of FTOOL V.2.0 has help function except KBCODE.COM which needs only be simply run and you will be told every thing.
