DESIGNATES NON-SMOKING AREAS


Atlantic City, NJ --- A survey conducted among customers of the Claridge
Casino Hotel showed that 75 percent of the men questioned were in favor of
non-smoking areas, and 72 percent of the women were for a non-smoking
facility.

In view of the strong response, Albert Britton, COO, announced that effective
July 1, 1995, there will be segregated areas of the casino designated
"smoke-free." This includes a 12,000 square foot sector containing about
600 slot machines of various types and denominations located on the second
floor, and the "Party Pit" off the main casino floor that includes 14 low-
limit blackjack tables. The non-smoking areas are segregated at one-third
of slot machine locations.

Britton noted that the new plan is in keeping with the Claridge focus on
customer service and the credo -- "Smaller is Friendlier."
