+-----------------+ | FIGWALL HISTORY | +-----------------+ v1.0a 10/15/95 FigWall was built! v1.1a 10/17/95 Shorter record lengths, taking up less space on your system! Color (CTRL-A) sequences now supported! Generic word-wrap is now supported! CTRL-V will now center lines properly. Killed a bug or two. v1.1b 10/19/95 Corrected a few typos in the DOCS and HELP files. Mainly the option of swapping BBS out of memory. It should be set to NO. This will correct the problem of users being kicked out as soon as they enter. :) v1.1c 10/23/95 Found some dead space in the database files. They are now shorter (again). Added the option of reading splatters (posts) in reverse order, from the newest one to the oldest. Corrected the ASCII screen display problems. They now display in NON- ANSI COLOR modes. +----------------------------------------------------------------------------+ v2.0a 10/28/95 FigWall ][ is born! The wall was redesigned!!! It stills looks like v1.1c, however it is now even more configurable. Here's the Scoop: o The VERIFY and UPDATE splatters options were removed (they were basically useless in a Wall). o Splatters are now numbered! The splatter number is displayed when reading the wall. o Users are no longer prompted for their name when posting a splatter, it is automatically inserted for them. :) o Sysops still have the option of changing their name when posting a splatter. This is useful if a user needs to post something but can't for some strange reason. The Sysop can type that users name and splatter in for them. o Sysops can now toggle the TITLE option on or off! A simple edit of the config file handles this. o Sysops can now have the option of allowing anonymous posts (splatters)! If turned on, users will be asked if they want to be anonymous. o This was left out of the 1.x series DOCS. If the Sysop sets the DELETE DAYS in the config file to 0 then the splatters will NOT be deleted! :) The index sort routine was moved to the paint wall module. This allows instant updates of the index files! No more needing to quit FigWall and then re-enter to see the new index! +----------------------------------------------------------------------------+
