MICROKEY COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS INTRODUCES NEW FAMILY OF PRODUCTS AT COMPUTER TELEPHONY EXPO `95

Dallas, TX, March 6, 1995 - Microkey Communications Systems, Inc. (trading symbol MKS.V) of Rye, NY will unveil their benchmark product line, Switchboard 7 (SwB7), at the Computer Telephony Expo in Dallas this week. The highly anticipated family of hardware and software products will feature an object oriented architecture and class libraries for developers and end users. Switchboard Seven addresses the telecommunication needs of emerging technical standards such as OLE2 and CORBA.

Utilizing state-of-the-art virtual device drivers (VxD), complex tool sets and the Microsoft Windows Virtual Machine Manager (VMM), the Switchboard 7 line is the first object oriented telecommunications execution environment available for Windows and Windows 95.

3Com Corporation of Santa Clara, CA (NASDAQ listed COMS) has entered into a Letter of Intent to establish a strategic association with Microkey, to acquire Microkey's interest in ISDN interface board technology, to explore the possibility of using software drivers and other programming provided by Microkey and to Microkey ISDN Access products.

The Switchboard Seven product line introduced at CT Expo in Dallas will feature 3Com ISDN Access products bundled with Microkey drivers and other software. The SwB7 line employs public switched telephone networks and Internet technologies to provide flexible, cost effective solutions for the developer as well as the end user.

3Com ISDN Access Products and has assigned its intellectual property rights to certain ISDN technology to 3Com for use in 3Com ISDN Access Products.
