MICROKEY COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS, INC.

Strategic Association

3Com Corporation of Santa Clara, CA (NASDAQ listed COMS) and Micronet, Inc., a US subsidiary of Microkey Communication Systems, Inc., a Canadian Corporation listed on the Vancouver Stock Exchange (MKS.V), have entered into a strategic association to provide ISDN access hardware and software products for the emerging superhighway. Microkey will market all 3Com ISDN Access Products via a 3Com OEM Agreement that was entered into as part of the strategic association. In connection with the 3Com strategic association, Micronet will market its software bundled with 3Com ISDN Access Products and has assigned its intellectual property rights to certain ISDN technology to 3Com for use in 3Com ISDN Access Products. Stephen Messina, CEO of Micronet, said that, “We are building our software products around 3Com’s state of the art and cost effective ISDN Access Products.” The companies are considering co-marketing complete ISDN solutions in the near future. Reginald Best, Vice President of ISDN Access Products Group for 3Com, said that, 3Com is considering all the ways that we can cooperatively market the 3Com Impact Products with Micronet. Micronet was an early player in the definition of our ISDN Access Products and we are looking forward to our future business and marketing activities."

Micronet is currently building an integrated voice, Internet and fax product specifically designed for ISDN technology that uses a 3Com ISDN Access Product.
