PicPal 1.0 from Salt and Light Software is a Shareware product with a $5 registration fee. Send checks or money orders to: Carmen Paone 1525 Locust St. Reading PA 19604-1825 OVERVIEW OF PICPAL 1.0 Users can view BMP, DIB, ICO, RLE and WMF files by roaming through their directories. Picture files will appear in the files list box if any are present. Users can then click on one of the boxes at the bottom of PicPal to view the pictures in the directory and adjust the size of the image area. Users can also roundup BMP, DIB. ICO, RLE and WMF files by clicking on Roundup in the Files menu or by pressing CTRL and R. Functions such as Copy/Move, Delete and Undelete; file information, etc. can also be done. PicPal also has a Zoom feature built in. BACKUP FILES To Backup files follow these steps: 1. Click on Backup menu entry button or Press Ctrl and B. 2. Use Backup to store your files on another drive or disk. 3. Close Backup and you will be returned to PicPal. COPY/MOVE FILES To copy or move a file follow these steps: 1 . Click on the file name in the file box. 2. Click on Copy/Move menu item or press CTRL and C 3. Determine where to copy/move the file by selecting a new destination for the file in the directory box. Files can also be copied or moved between drives. 4. Click on the Copy or Move menu items in Options. DELETING FILES To delete a file follow these steps: 1. Click on the file name in the file box. 2. Click on Delete menu item or press Alt and D 3. Click on YES to delete the file or NO FILE INFORMATION To obtain file information follow these steps: 1. Select a file by clicking on it in the file box. 2. Click on the File info item or Press CTRL and I. Information on the file and its picture will appear. ROUNDING UP FILES Click on Roundup files in the Files menu or press CTRL R to view all picture files of a selected file extension. Click on the Patterns box and choose the extension you want. SIZING IMAGES The images in the list box can be enlarged or decreased by clicking on the Picture size options located at the bottom of PicPal. The default image is 16 x 16 pixels. UNDELETING FILES To Undelete a file follow these steps: 1. Click on the Undelete button or Press Alt and U. 2. Use Undelete to recover you deleted file or files. 3. Close Undelete and you will be returned to PicPal. ZOOMING/VIEWING PICTURES Individual pictures my be zoomed by clicking on the file name in the file list box and then clIcking on the Zoom menu item or by pressing CTRL and Z or by clicking on View in the Roundup Files menu or by pressing CTRL and V. Click on the image image in the Zoom form to enlarge it and click on the right mouse button to decrease the image size.
