OS/2 INSTALLATION ----------------- 1.0 GENERAL NOTES * See the README.DOC file provided in the ZIP package for notes on OS/2 drivers. 1.1 INSTALLATION To complete the OS/2 installation, you will need the OS/2 driver file, TRPMCOS2.ZIP. Perform the following steps to complete the OS/2 installation: 1) If you have a Monte Carlo, identify which Monte Carlo you have by turning the computer off, removing the card, and identifying the digital audio chip type (4248 or 4231). The digital audio chip is the square chip to the right of the center of the board stamped with a number on the top. Remember or record the chip type for later use during installation. THIS IS AN IMPORTANT STEP. 2) Reinsert the card and ensure that the card is firmly seated in the slot and properly installed into your OS/2 machine. 3) Start your OS/2 machine. 4) Unzip the file TRPMCOS2.ZIP. 5) During setup, you will see the hardware settings dialog. If you have a 4248 based Monte Carlo, you must select Half duplex for the Duplex setting. 4231 Monte Carlo owners and Tropez owners may select any duplex setting. Select the appropriate parameters for your card (Port, Interrupt, Duplex, and DMA (Play and Capture)). Read the README.DOC file provided in the ZIP package and follow the instructions for installation of OS/2 drivers 6) Reboot OS/2. 7) Test the digital audio driver using the multimedia applications included with OS/2. 1.2 BUGS If bugs are encountered while using Turtle Beach products with OS/2, the best way to report them is via e-mail or fax.
