CTH Credit Card Processor for OS/2 WWW Servers Version 1.1b =========================================================== Welcome to my nightmare! To cut a long and frustrating story short..... Here is the beta version of my credit card processor and html form for use on OS/2 WARP www servers. It is definetly not flash, but it does do the job reliably and without any major impacts on MY system. It has been tested with both the original os2www server and with the high performance www server. It has NOT been trialed on the cern based server. REMEMBER! this is a beta version, it has been heavily tested on my server and hasn't caused any problems at all (much to my surprise!). Only the basic features have currently been implemented, it gets info from the client and writes it to a readable log file. Included files: =============== get-card.exe place this file in your cgi-bin directory, it processes the data from the form and formats it so it is readable, then places it in a log file. At present this file is created in /os2httpd/logs on the drive the server is running on. The next version will hopefully see a config file implemented so you can place this where you want it. It is currently hardcoded to find your homepage as /index.html, again this will be configurable in the next version. get-card.html place this file in your main docs directory and add a link to it from whatever html you wish. You may modify this html to your hearts content, BUT the number of entries MUST remain the same for the processor to log results correctly. Output to the log is formatted so it will record the names you give to the objects in the form. readme.txt I'll leave that one to your imagination. You also need: ============== vrobj.dll the vxrexx runtime dll. place this in a directory in your libpath. On my system, using vrobj.dll with this setup does not impact heavily on the system as there is no pm activity, i compiled it to see if there was any speed increase over a straight rexx script. Needless to say there was so it is being released in this form. As a matter of interest this software was developed and is run on a DX4-100 iNTEL based system with 36mb ram, running WARP CONNECT. Usual Drivel: ============= Guess what? it's a freebee. And like everything you get for nothing, the warranty fits the bill! I guarantee that it will definetly take up room on your hard drives and thats all i will guarantee. It works here. If it don't work there, or if it plays two-up with your hard drives then kick the cat! It is a condition of use that you agree to indemnify me against any and or all actions arising as a result of your use of this software. I will NOT be held responsible for anything other than my inability to cure my bald patch! This software is neither shareware nor in the public domain. It is there for you to use free of charge. BUT i retain the copyrights to what i have written. I hope you find it usefull. I found it frustrating to write as i am not nor will i ever be a decent programmer. vrobj.dll is the freely distributable runtime dll for WATCOM's VX-REXX compiler. The usual copyright jargon applies. Last but not least.... i hope you find it of use, or at least a source of ideas, failing that, then a source of amusement.
