Welcome to MrTerm v1.3 MrTerm is a program designed to make terminal use in the Internet environment easy and accurate. MrTerm will walk you through setup, so configuration is simplified. It should be known the the "default" setup in the "File" menu is the setup that is initially loaded when MrTerm is started. When you first set your configuration and save, the "default" setup will also be recorded. Nearly all aspects of MrTerm are saved when a configuration is saved. This makes it handy to save various configurations for the different environments you might use, or for several users. The files included in this package are: mrterm.exe - A version for those with Winsock support. (Win3.1, 16 bit) mrtermc.exe - A version for those without Winsock support. (Win3.1, 16 bit) mrterm32.exe - A Windows 95 or WinNT version for 386 processors. (32 bit) mrtermp4.exe - A Windows 95 or WinNT version for 486 processors. (32 bit) mrtermp5.exe - A Windows 95 or WinNT version for 586 processors. (32 bit) mrterm.hlp - The comprehensive help file. mrterm.txt - This file. ctl3dv2.dll - Support files that MUST be copied to your system directory. ctl3d32.dll The most common problem is leaving the dll's in the MrTerm directory. Which will display an error to the effect "ctl3d.. incorrectly installed". Many windows systems do not have Winsock support. These users should use the 'mrtermc.exe' version, as it does not look for the "winsock.dll" file. The 'mrterm.exe' version will support either a modem or a network (through Winsock), as will all the 32 bit versions. The user may delete the .exe files that are not being used. Do not rename the files, as the spawn function will not work.
