Installation instruction for Act! 2.0.6.2 Update 1/3/96 These installation instructions are for the update with the filename ACT2062.EXE. This update will only work with an existing installation of Act! 2.0.6 for Windows. If you go to HELP>ABOUT and 2.0.6 is not the version number, this update will not work. If you are using 2.0.6.1, you will need to back up your databases, remove Act! from your system, install 2.0.6, then proceed with the update below. If you are using 2.0.6.1 without problems, there is no need to use this update. You should ONLY use this update if you are using Act! 2.0.6 with WinFax Pro 7.0. In addition to this update, you will also need the update for WinFax 7.0. Contact WinFax Technical Support for availablity information on that update. To use the patch from a hard drive: Step 1. Create a temporary working subdirectory on your hard drive. Step 2. Copy the ACT2062.EXE file to the temporary work directory. Step 3. While in the temporary work directory at the DOS prompt, type "ACT2062" and press [RETURN]. The ACT2062 file creates the files that you need to actually install the patch. Step 4. Go back into Windows and run the "Install.exe" file via the the START>RUN command. To create an installation disk: Step 1. Create a temporary work subdirectory on your hard drive. Step 2. Copy the ACT2062.EXE file to the temporary work directory. Step 3. While in the temporary work directory at the DOS prompt, type "ACT2062" and press [RETURN]. Step 4. Copy the files from the temporary subdirectory to a blank formatted 1.44 floppy and label that disk "Disk 1". (a 3.5 inch HD disk) Step 5. Insert "disk 1" into the floppy drive and run the file "Install.exe" located on "Disk 1" via the the START>RUN command in Windows.
