ARTISOFT ANNOUNCES SECOND LANTASTIC(R) RESELLER ALLIANCE TOUR Tour to Focus on Small Business Networking in the Era of Windows(R) 95 (TUCSON, AZ -- October 10, 1995) -- Artisoft, Inc. today announced the second LANtastic Reseller Alliance Tour, a nationwide executive briefing and in-depth technical training session for resellers. The tour will focus on Small Business Networking in the Era of Windows 95, and will familiarize resellers with Artisoft's recently announced LANtastic for Windows 95 and LANtastic 32-bit Client for Windows 95 products. Attendees will receive evaluation software, training, a rebate coupon, and an updated LANtastic Power Source CD-ROM, with an estimated value of nearly $3100. The sessions will run from October 12 through November 7 in 24 cities across the United States and Canada. Artisoft's first tour, held earlier this year, attracted more than 7,000 resellers worldwide, over 95% of which indicated they would recommend it to a colleague. In reference to the first tour, Chuck Sherman, Vice President and General Manager of Computer Solutions GSD, Inc., Columbia Maryland, said, "It was great to hear the company's positioning firsthand from top executives, and to see hands-on product demonstrations from technical people who really knew the product inside and out. The first tour had much to offer in terms of product information and tools like the Power Source CD-ROM that I could take back to my business and immediately start using. I'm taking my entire staff to the second tour." "Our second tour will help resellers understand that small and mid-sized businesses are seeking a smart and cost-effective migration to Windows 95 technology, but at a gradual pace" said Bill Peterson, Vice President of Worldwide Marketing. "The briefing and product training are intended to demonstrate how LANtastic products are the optimal choice for these businesses to integrate Windows 95 and existing PCs into a single, cohesive network," he added. Presentations will be given once in each city on the tour. Monday through Thursday sessions will be from 4:30 to 9:30 p.m., and Saturday sessions will be either 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. or 4:30 to 9:30 p.m. EXECUTIVE BRIEFING At the executive briefing, resellers will hear Artisoft's plan for networking small and mid-sized businesses in the era of Windows 95. Each 1 1/2-hour briefing will be lead by a senior Artisoft executive, including President and Chief Executive Officer William Keiper, Chief Operating Officer Joel Kocher, Senior Vice President of Business Development and Technology Sunil Padiyar, and Vice President of Worldwide Marketing Bill Peterson. TECHNICAL TRAINING The executive briefing will be followed by a catered meal and a 3 1/2-hour training session which will include an in-depth discussion of the LANtastic 32-bit Client for Windows 95 and a preview of the LANtastic for Windows 95 system. The LANtastic 32-bit Client enables Artisoft customers to add Windows 95 PCs as full clients to existing LANtastic networks. It will be available via the company's BBS, FTP server and World Wide Web home page in mid-October 1995, and will be provided free of charge to all current users of LANtastic, LANtastic Power Suite and Simply LANtastic(TM) networks. The LANtastic for Windows 95 network operating system will be a 32- bit client and server version of the award-winning LANtastic system. LANtastic for Windows 95 will allow Artisoft customers to easily integrate the power and performance of Windows 95 PCs into their existing LANtastic networks. The LANtastic software is planned to allow users to create a single, cohesive network from Windows 95, Windows, DOS, OS/2(R) and a variety of Intel(R) hardware platforms. With LANtastic for Windows 95, Artisoft customers will be able to add Windows 95 PCs to LANtastic networks at their own pace, helping protect their investments in existing computer hardware and software.
