____----====ðððð My first REAL Descent 2 level ðððð====----____ By Trevor Claffey (AlnTrev@aol.com) This level is Starbase I, my first solid D2 level. The story: you are assigned a mission to Alpha Centauri to attack on an alien base and free the two captive miners. _-=ðThe Levelð=-_ You begin at the insertion point; begin to battle immediately. Down one floor is the Guidebot, the energy recharge, and a hostage. Proceed through the level and notice my cool use of moving textures. Hint: to open the door in the ceiling near the start, shoot the blow door behind it, then look for a switch. A hostage is behind there, plus lots o' eye-candy moving textures. There are a few problems with texture alignment despite my intense work on this level. There is also a problem with the reactor; why does it look like a Medium Hulk?? _-=ðWow, how'd you do this stuff???ð=-_ If you want to know the secret to moving textures, put a misc101 (#350) below another texture (again, enter numbers.) This stuff is way cool, particularly the "rotate" textures on the way to the yellow key!!!
