/*************************************************************************************/ /* The Methodical Destruction of Slow Motorized Vehicles: A Video Game */ /* */ /* Copyright, 1996 by Rob Gagne, Dave Anderson, Michael D'Auria and Dimitry Korsunsky*/ /* */ /*************************************************************************************/ Here is a Beta version of a game that us guys are making. First of all, this game requires that it be running on a machine with windows 95 that is connected to a network and the game sdk must also be installed, if you don't have direct x installed then this install program will do it for you. The basic premise of the game is to move your tank and destroy your fellow net players. The default keys are: a - rotate turret left s - rotate turret right r - repair key t - turbo up - move forwards down - move backwards right - rotate right left - rotate left tab - switches weapons space - shoots weapon Basic shot - when it hits something it blows it up. Advanced shot - it will cut a straight path through multiple objects, blowing up each on as it hits it. angled shot - hold down the space bar to give it power, when it lands it will destroy the immediate area around where it landed. mines - you can lay them and see them, but remote players will not see the mines until they get close, if they are moving to fast they will probably not be able to stop and get blown up. pill boxes - those are the round things, they just sit around until an enemy tank comes by, then they will shoot that tank. The game is still in development, so we don't have any computer tanks yet, and you also have unlimited lives, but this will give you a taste of things to come. We have a list of things to fix and finish including different scenarios (capturing the flag is on that we hope to implement), but if you have any problems running the game or have any suggestions you would like to see implemented, feel free to drop me a line at dauria@alumni.cs.umb.edu Thanks Mike
