OS2APARS is a collection of APARs (Authorized Program Analysis Report) that have been reported to IBM Support for OS/2 and OS/2-related products. These APARs are contained in a series of INF files which may be viewed on any OS/2 system using VuAPAR, OS2APARS.CMD, or the OS/2 VIEW command. VuAPAR and OS2APARS.CMD are distributed as part of the OS2APARS package. The INF filenames and the products they contain are: File - Product(s) ----------------------------------------- 30APRx - OS/2 Warp Version 3 OS/2 Warp Ver 3 with WinOS2 Warp Connect Warp Server Warp Bonus Pak 21APRx - OS/2 2.1x OS/2 2.1 for Windows SSAPRx - IBM Software Servers for OS/2 - Internet Connection Server - Communications Server - Database Server - Transaction Server CMAPRx - Communications Manager/2 DBAPRx - Database/2 for OS/2 (DB2/2) LSAPRx - IBM LAN Server 5.0 (from Warp Server) IBM LAN Server 4.0 IBM LAN Server 3.0 IBM Peer for OS/2 NTAPRx - Network Transport Services/2 MMAPRx - MultiMedia PM PCAPRx - Personal Communications/3270 ver 4.0 for OS/2 Personal Communications/3270 ver 4.0 (DOS & Windows) TKAPRx - OS/2 3.0 Toolkit OS/2 2.1 Toolkit VisualAge C++ C Set/2 C Set++ Workframe/2 TCAPRx - TCP/IP for OS/2 ver 3.1 TCP/IP for OS/2 ver 3.0 TCP/IP for OS/2 ver 2.0 DCAPRx - Distributed Computing Environment (DCE) for OS/2 and Windows LDAPRx - LAN Distance NWAPRx - Netware Requester for OS/2 DSAPRx - IBM PC DOS 7.0 IBM PC DOS 6.3 IBM PC DOS 6.1 Note: The "x" in the filenames above is a numeric sequencer starting at 1. Some products (like OS/2) have more Apars than can be fit into a single INF file so there will be 21APR1, 21APR2, .... 21APRn files. OS2APARS.CMD ------------ You may download only the INF files for the products you wish to view. The OS2APARS.CMD file included in this package will search for all INF files matching the naming pattern above and will issue the appropriate VIEW command to include all files that were found. VUAPAR.EXE ---------- VuAPAR will display a Presentation Manager screen containing a series of checkboxes, one for each product file. By clicking on one or more products, you may selectively view the INF files. This feature is useful when performing text searches of the APARs. Selecting the INF files to view will help speed up the search as well as limit the number of "hits" to only those product areas in which you are interested. When calling VuAPAR, you may pass a parameter to it specifying the directory in which the OS2APAR INF files are stored. Example: VUAPAR D:\APARS If no parameter is specified, VUAPAR will search the current directory. VROBJ.DLL, which is required by VUAPAR, must be placed in your LIBPATH.
