the system information pad - SHORTINFO ====================================== 'the system information pad' is an extension of the LaunchPad known in OS/2 Warp. 'the system information pad' is a WorkplaceShell Object, and therefore it must be registered before usage. Registration and deregistration is done by a special program called 'regdereg.exe'. There is no risk in trying 'the system information pad', 'cause it can be deleted completely after deregistration. REGISTRATION ============ All files belonging to the package must be located in one directory on a local harddisk. Because of being started during system-startup, it's not possible to keep only one central copy in a network environment. Move into that directory and call 'regdereg -r' for registration. After rebooting the LaunchPad will be replaced by 'the system information pad'. DEREGISTRATION ============== Calling 'regdereg -d' will cancel the LaunchPad-replacement. After rebooting all files belonging to the package can be deleted. There won't be positioned any files in another directory. CONFIGURATION ============= For configuring 'the system information pad' use the settings pages of the LaunchPad. The Help-buttons do have functionality !
