1. Introduction

   Ticker/2 is a PM utility that displays text and bitmaps in a tickerline on 
   your desktop. A REXX interface allows you to select the source of the 
   information. You could display stock quotes, news, sport results, your own 
   commercials, whatever with only little knowledge of REXX programming. 
   Ticker/2 comes with a set of example scripts.

3. Licence

The use of Ticker/2 is subject to the following terms and conditions.   

The copy of Ticker/2 that you have is distributed as shareware. You may freely
copy and distribute the file TICKER2.ZIP but only AS LONG AS THIS FILE IS NOT
MODIFIED IN ANY WAY and you do not charge a fee for the distribution or make
profit from the distribution in any other form. You may NOT distribute 
individual  components of TICKER2.ZIP, either as-is or in modified form, 
without written permission from Kirchhoff & Grill Software GmbH.   

Since Ticker/2 is distributed as shareware, you may use it for a 31-day 
trial period, as long as you agree to the provisions of this license 
agreement. If you continue to use Ticker/2 beyond the 31-day trial 
period, you are obligated to register it. 

When you register Ticker/2, you will be given instructions for converting 
it to the full, non-shareware version. You may not distribute the full 
version. You may treat it just like a book, except that you may copy it 
onto a computer to be used and you may make archival copies of it 
for the sole purpose of backing up the software and protecting your 
investment from loss.   

By saying "just like a book," we mean that the full version may be 
used by any number of people, and may be freely moved from one 
computer location to another, so long as there is NO POSSIBILITY of it 
being used at one location or on one computer while it is being used 
at another. Just like a book cannot be read by two different people in 
two different places at one time, neither can the full version of Ticker/2 
be used by two different people in two different places at the same 
time (unless, of course, our copyright is being violated).

4. Installation

   To install Ticker/2 do the following steps:

   - create a directory where you want the program files to be installed

   - unzip the ticker2.zip in this directory 

   - call install.cmd from within this directory
     this will create a folder named Ticker/2 on your desktop

5. Registration

   See register.txt for information how to register. The registration will 
   remove the display of the copyright notice on the ticker. As a registered
   user you get support by e-mail or fax.
