A brief introduction to Scanfx 

  There are four parts in Scanfx :1. LCD 
				2. Control Keys

  1.  LCD part is consisted of two rows of LCD and each one of them shows different
      information.
 	-(1) The upper row shows paper size, scan mode, fax resolution and brightness.
 		-Paper size:
			     LTR -- letter size.
   			     LGL -- Legal size.
   			     A4  -- A4 size.

		-Scan mode:
			     TXT -- Text mode.(LineArt)
			     PHT -- Photogragh.(GrayScale)
			     CPH -- Color photograph.(True Color)

		-Fax resolution:
                             DFT -- Draft (200X100) mode.
                             FNE -- Fine  (200X200) mode.

		-Brightness: 0-100
	  			         
 	-(2) The lower row shows either key alias or fax number.

                - Key alias:
			    There are fourteen keys on control panel of Scanfx. Each 
                            one of them can be short cut of fax recepient group.

                - Fax number: Telephone number.
  
  2. Control keys :

         -(1) Extra key :
			  Set the size of paper. Each time Extra key is pushed, the 
			  LCD will show the size of paper, and the setting sequence 
			  is LTR, LGL and A4.

         -(2) Mode key :
			  Set scan mode. Each time mode key is pushed, the LCD will
			  show the scan mode, and the setting sequence is TXT, PHT 
			  and CPH.

	 -(3) Resolution key :
			  Set the fax resolution. Each time Resolution key is pushed
                          LCD will show the fax resolution, and the setting sequence 
			  is DFT, FNE.

         -(4) * KEY :     Each time * key is pushed, the Brightness is less 5.

         -(5) # key :     Operate contrariwise as * key.

	 -(6) 0-9 keys :  Let You key in the telephone number.

         -(7) Speed dial keys :
			  You can set recepient group to each one of the 01-14 keys
			  in ScanFX Keypad program. Each key of these fourteen keys 
			  can be assigned an alias name also in ScanFX keypad program.
			  When one key is pushed, its alias name is shown on LCD.

         -(8) Copy/Print key:
			  Scan an image and printer prints out the scanned image.
                          You can assign the printer in ScanFX keypad program.

         -(9) Stop/Eject key : Eject paper.

         -(10) Fax key :  Scan an image and faxing the scanned image to recepient.
			  The recepient is assigned according to which key of Speed
			  dial keys.

		A Brief Introduction to Installation of Profile

    In the process of installation of ScanFX, if you choose create new profile in 
  Install Profile dialog, the install program will lanch three MicroSoft Exchange 
  wizards -- MicroSoft Fax wizard, Personal Address Book wizard and Personal Folder
  wizard. 
 
  (1) MicroSoft Fax wizard :
	 You have to input your name, fax number, a modem for the fax service.
  
  (2) MicroSoft Personal Address Book wizard :
	 If there is a MicroSoft Personal Address Book in your system,
         you may assign an existed address data file(.pab file), otherwise, you 
	 have to assign a name for wizard to create a new personal address book
	 file(.pab file).
                          
  (3) MicroSoft Personal Folder :
	 The place stores the information of inbox, outbox, send item and delete
	 item. If there is already a MicroSoft Personal Folder in your System,
	 you may assign an existed personal folder file(.pst file), otherwise,
	 you have to assign a name for wizard to create a new personal folder.

  Note: In the process of (1) or (3), if you push the cancel button, you can't 
	do fax in this new profile, else if in the process of (2), you can do 
	fax but can't apply personal address book. If you push the cancel button,
	and then you want to add the service again or add MicroSoft mail or 
	internet mail, please go to "Mail & Fax" in the control panel to add the 
	services that you want.
