An Update:
Some people in this world are so stupid and ignorant.
Our whole dorm has become terrifed. Movement events continue in
one room, while another has experiences with electrical malfunction (ie.
steros going on and off, alarm clocks going off etc.) Several Jesuit
priests have been notified of the situation, some have taken the matter
seriously. On Tuesday night some of my friends who particpated in the
orginal sayonce with the voices decided the fear, "must end." Without
asking all the orginal people involved they took our tape and went out to
the shore of Lake Michigan (our campus is on the lake) and threw the tape
in. Many of us are outraged and hurt by this. We had something special,
if they were so concered about what people were doing they should have
just locked the thing up. The folks over at Sightings contacted me and I
feel like a total chump. I would have been curious if they could have
looked over the tape. Things continue to happen here and at the rate
they are I would think if we tried again we could get something once
more. However every piece of email I have recieved tells me of the
danger of this. Most of the orginal people involved were at first
praising the ghost as their "friend" but now have begun to realize that
this could be evil. One of the individuals in the room in which the
movement occurs has really taken an attachment to the "ghost" We are
scared for him, he seems to like all this far to much. Everyone else is
really scared. Last night a small group of us who have witnessed the
occurences got together to discuss where to go now. Most of us agreed
that it was the wrong decision to destroy the tape, but that we should go
no further.
The room in which the electrical disturbances have occured has
been a sight of continued activity. During a discusion about the
situation in the room about 48 hours ago, two alarm clocks both went off
at the same time. They were set to 11:00 am and went off at 9:30 pm.
The moment it occured was when someone in the room was joking about how
"stupid" the ghost is. More and more we are begining to think what is
happening here is evil.
3 weeks ago the two roomates from the electrical interference
room were out on the lake shore at 11:00 pm. Looking out over the lake
they saw what appeared to be a blood red triangle rise from the horizon
into the sky. It then disappeared, one roomate became very scared, and
noticed that the yellow street light nearby would flash red as if
"surging" The other roomate noticed this also.
These two roomates last night blessed the room with holy water.
One said he was "bleeding the blood of christ?" He truly belives it will
stop now but his roomate is still fearful. The room in which the
majority of occurences has happened is still inhabited by the ghost
lover, who actually, get this, bought a skull so that the "ghost" would
have a place to live. He has told us that he asked the ghost to live in
the skull, and he pets it when he enters the room.
I know all this seems hard to believe, but these people I would
trust with my life. I have been witness to some of this activity but
these people are not liers. There crediblity is impecable. We are just
scared, and don't know what to do. I wish we hadn't gotten rid of the
tape. We are scared will be tempted to make another now, and we are
scared that others in the dorm will start buying Ouija boards, and
holding sayonces so they "too" can have there very own ghost. I am
scared for all of us, and will continue to update all of you who have
given my wonderful advice so far, about the happenings here at Loyola.
