This is a freeware version of WinSpeech 3.0 text reading application. The system requirements are: IBM PC or compatible computer, with at least 3 MB of free hard disk space, running Windows 3.1 or higher. To install the program, run "setup.exe" from Windows Program Manager. This "zip" file can be freely distributed under the following conditions: 1. All the files need to be stayed together and not modified. 2. The "zip" file contains a PC's speaker device driver from the Microsoft Corporation, the included license agreement ("license.txt") of the device driver should be carefully read and agreed to. New features in Rev. 3.0. 1. Better speech quality. 2. Fewer mispronounced words. 3. Improved text-to-words conversion for handling abbreviations, ordinal numbers, currencies, punctuation signs, ... etc. 4. Read Windows WRITE (WRI) files. 5. Read contents on the Clipboard directly - automatic Clipboard mode for speaking whenever contents change, and hot key for speech control from other Windows programs. These features let the WinSpeech 3.0 be used as the speech add-on utility for other Windows applications. 6. Separated dictionary editor with improved user's interface. 7. Allows of loading different dictionaries and voice data sets. 8. Allows of changing speaking speed and voice pitch. 9. Status window for showing program status and currently opened file. 10. Command line parameters for reading a file or a string automatically when program starts, and other options like minimize window and disable showing title. 11.
