Q.      I inadvertently added some chains that I later found were bad. How
        can I correct these?

A.      You must drop to DOS and run CHEDIT. This will allow you to change
        or delete any bad chains. The database that comes with Chain Reaction
        was checked by me and includes many chains added by the InterBBS
        users at my site. You may find some of those you don't wish to use.
        You can remove those as well.

        NOTE: As with any utility that alters a database, you should always
              backup the data before proceeding. In this case, backup file
              CHREACT.DAT prior to using CHEDIT.EXE

Q.      I've heard that Chain Reaction can be enjoyed at home without a
        BBS. Is this true?

A.      Yes, simply run CHREACT.EXE from the dos prompt with no command
        line parameters, and it will prompt you for your name and play
        as usual.

Q.      I am running Chain Reaction InterBBS as a hub. One of my downlinks
        data is not being processed. It comes in nightly, but is not shown
        in the score files.

A.      Sounds as if you and your downlink are using different PLAYS PER
        DAY settings in the CHREACT.CFG. All league systems MUST all be
        set to the same. If not, the data will be ignored.

Q.      When I run the InterBBS module, I am getting an error message?

A.      This could be many things. One possible cause would be that not
        all systems in the league are running the same version of Chain
        Reaction. First check to ensure that all systems are on the most
        current version.

        Some of the earlier versions of CHREIBBS.EXE contained several
        bugs that would cause this. If you are not sure you running the
        current version, please check FBN BBS.

        If you are using the current version, and all systems are running
        the same, then please advise Mace Software of the message. Look
        for a file named CHREIBBS.LOG. This may contain helpful information
        to assistance us in correcting any problems.
