Instructions on Installing the Unregistered Shareware Version of ClassRoom Windows ClassRoom Windows is a Windows-based program for teachers. It is designed to make your record keeping and grading much easier. The first step is to install the program files on your hard drive. (You must have the file VB40016.DLL or VB40032.DLL on your installation disk or in your WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory to install the program.) You will need about 4 megabytes of free space on your hard drive to install ClassRoom Windows. WINDOWS 3.1 To install the program in Windows 3.1: 1. Load Windows, usually by typing WIN at the DOS prompt. 2. At your opening screen (usually Windows' Program Manager), click on the "File" Menu. Then select "Run." 3. Insert the first ClassRoom Windows installation disk into your floppy drive. Type the following "Command Line" statement, depending on the drive in which you have placed the ClassRoom Windows disk: A:SETUP or B:SETUP WINDOWS 95 To install the program in Windows 95: 1. Open Control Panel, and double click on Add/Remove Programs. 2. Click on the Install button. Put ClassRoom Windows Disk 1 into your 3.5" disk drive (usually Drive A). Click on "Next." Windows should automatically locate and display the "SETUP.EXE" file. (If it doesn't, enter the "command line for installation program," e.g., A:SETUP or B:SETUP.) 3. Clicking on "Finish" begins the installation process. That's all there is to it. Just follow the prompts that appear on your screen. If you received the program in ZIP format, you must first unzip the file, preferably to a "TEMP" directory on your hard drive. Then follow the general directions given above, substituting the letter and directory of your hard drive (for example, C:\TEMP\SETUP). The directory CLASSRMW (or, in Windows 95, the "Program Files" subdirectory "ClassRoom Windows") will be created on your hard drive. In this directory the main program file and the help file will be placed. Other files necessary to run ClassRoom Windows will be installed in your CLASSRMW and WINDOWS\SYSTEM directories. A "ClassRoom Windows" Program Group will be set up in Windows so you may easily start the program.
