//------------------------------------------------// // // // 24 Points for Windows 95/NT Evaluation Copy // // // //------------------------------------------------// The 24 Points game is an ancient chinese educational card game. The purpose is to train the player to deal with numbers faster. (duh...) This evaluation copy does not have a full documentation so we prepared this README.TXT for you to know how to play. You can only play against the computer in this demo. Select One Player or press F2 to start, the computer will show four (4) cards in the middle of the window, and it will start counting, your goal is to use all four cards once and only once with all four basic math operations: Plus, Minus, Multiply, Divide to get 24. The Ace cards are counted as 1, Jack as 11, Queen as 12 and King as 13. Suits are not important. For example, if the cards are: 3, 5, 7, Jack which are: 3, 5, 7, 11, one solution will be: (11-5)=6; (7-3)=4; and 4*6=24. If you find a solution before the timer reaches a preset limit which you can change in Timer Setup (F5), press any key or click the right mouse button to input the solution. You will have only one chance to input your solution and you will also have a timer which you can change in Timer Setup (F5). If you are correct, all four cards goes to you and then you start another hand. If you can not find a solution fast enough, the computer will start calculating and present its solution if it find one. The computer is always correct and way too fast, (That is why we put a computer holding time so human player have a chance, what a shame...)
