What is FTP Browser?
=====================================================================

FTP Browser is a feature rich TCP/IP FTP client for OS/2 Warp. It
is quick, compact and easy to use.  It makes browsing directories
as fast as point and click, and transferring files as simple as drag
and drop.

Please, feel free to use this shareware version of FTP Browser to
evaluate its functionality as long as you agree to the legal
disclaimer.  Should you continue to use this product beyond the
30-day trial period, please select "Registration information" from
the application's menu.

Your system must meet the following minimal requirements in order to
install and use FTP Browser: 

      OS/2 Warp version 3 or 4

            Presentation Manager

- FIXED incompatibility with early versions of Warp. Will now install
  on all versions of OS/2 Warp.
- added a transfer status window with graphical sliders and lots of
  file information.
- consolidated all FTP Browser settings into WPS object notebooks.
- added "in-use" emphasis to retrieved files in the remote file list.
- added hook to run batch a file after file transfer.
- added an automatic disconnect option after file transfers.
- added an option to have viewed text files not deleted by default.
- added an option to remove ".xxxxx" files from directory listings.
- added support for file names and directories with spaces.
- installation now automatically retains your previous settings.

Version 1.26
- Added support for AIX and HP-UX FTP servers.
- Added host type selection to the "host" page of the properties
  notebook.
- Fixed status line to properly report transfer status for multiple
  files.

- Added a sort by file size menu option.

Installation
=====================================================================

To install FTP Browser:

1. Unzip the compressed file into a temporary directory.
2. Make this directory the current directory.
3. Run INSTALL.EXE to configure and install the application.
