Quick & Dirty File Manager for Win95 v1.4 ========================================= QNDFM95 is a 32-bit Windows program to do common file tasks from within Windows 95. This program will only run under Windows 95, and NT. Buttons ======= "\" - Shortcut to change directory to "root". (ex. c:\) ".." - Shortcut to change directory up 1 level. "*.*" - Shortcut to tag all files in the current panel. Refresh- Will refresh all panels on form. Copy - This button copies selected file(s)/directories to other fixed window. The program will ask you to overwrite files also. Delete - This button deletes selected file(s)/directories. If you have a directory selected, it will delete that directory, and everything in it! When you delete files they will go in the Recycle Bin. If you hit the "del" key instead of the "Delete" button, all files will be deleted WITHOUT placing them in the Recycle Bin! Move - This button moves selected file(s)/directories to other fixed window. It will also rename a file if both panels are on the same directory. Mkdir - This button makes a directory in the current window. Edit - This button will run "notepad" on the 1st selected file. Pull Down Menus =============== -Commands: Find File - Just put in the starting directory,and a pattern. File Attributes - Select 1 file, then use this to view and/or change any file attribute. ZIP Files - Select 1 or more files, and use this to compact all those files into 1 ZIP file. To ZIP a directory, just select the directory. Disk Info - Will show disk information on selected disk. -Show: (options to view different types of files) -Settings: This is where you define your ZIP and UNZIP program name. If its in yyour path, just put the filename. -Register: This is used to register the program. Just email me at "rzino@abraxis.com". Once registered, I will send you back the 5 digit code to register QNDFM. All random nag screens will be removed. -About: Information about the program, and how to register. NOTE: Always notice the "current directory" entry. This is always the directory where qndfm95 is pointing to. Also that it will not ask you "if you are sure" for ANYTHING. So be careful. The DOS Command dialog is where you can run any dos program in your PATH. Selecting multiple files is done by holding down the "ctrl" key while selecting any new files. To select a range of files select the 1st one, then hold down "shift" and then click on the last file, and all the files inbetween will be selected. Or just click on the 1st, and drag down to the last and release. You can also double click on any file and if Win95 knows what is associated with it, it will run it. If it has any of these extensions, it will just run it. (.EXE, .COM, and .BAT) If you double click on a .ZIP file, it will attempt to unpack it in the other window directory. Make sure user defined zip and unzip programs are in your path! Also, if either file list window, and can type the 1st letter of the file, and it will move down the list for you.
