FrontDoor APX/w 1.10 Shareware ------------------------------ Welcome to the shareware version of FrontDoor APX/w, the premier electronic mail client from Definite Solutions. Installation instructions ------------------------- Follow the instructions below to install FrontDoor APX/w 1.10. 1) If you are using Windows 95: Click the 'Start' button in the task bar. Select Run from the menu that is displayed. A dialog box is displayed. Type A:\SETUP in the field where it asks for a command line. (If the files are not located on a diskette in drive A:, replace A: with the drive and directory where the files are located.) Click the OK button. If you are using Windows 3.1x: Open the Program Manager. Select the File menu, and then Run. A dialog box is displayed. Type A:\SETUP in the field where it asks for a command line. (If the files are not located on a diskette in drive A:, replace A: with the drive and directory where the files are located.) Click the Run button. 2) Follow the instructions in the installation program. 3) When the installation program ends, a new entry has been added to your Start menu (Windows 95), or a new group has been added in the Program Manager (Windows 3.x). Select the FrontDoor APX icon in either the Start menu or Program Manager group to start FrontDoor APX/w. 4) The first thing that happens when FrontDoor APX is started, is that you have to configure a few settings. You should for instance specify your name, and the network address of your system. If you don't have a network address already, you need to contact someone that is already a member of FidoNet (or similiar) network, and ask them if you can become a 'point' of them. If they accept, you will get the network address from them. 5) Everything should now be configured, and you are ready to start using the program. Thank you for selecting FrontDoor APX!
