Welcome to TimeOn v3 © 1996 D R Godson ============================================= TimeOn is new desktop applet from ChilLiSoft Products. TimeOn is e-mailware, which means its FREE provided you register it with me by e-mail at 'dgo@easynet.co.uk'. Please also register version updates. TimeOn provides a means of monitoring the time you spend surfing the net. TimeOn automatically monitors your system so that when you connect to the internet using a dial-up connection TimeOn knows. TimeOn's configuration options can be accessed by right clicking on the various indicators. The settings you make will be saved. TimeOn is transparent in use and displays its icon within the taskbar notification area to avoid cluttering up the taskbar. When you pass your cursor over the icon the the current dial-up connection name is displayed, together with the time you've spent on the connection in hand. Enhancements over version 2 --------------------------- - the dialog for entering your telecom charges has been re-designed to allow for telecom providers who: - charge by the time unit (ie not by the second) - charge different rates on each of saturday and sunday - charge a connection fee You should have the following files once you have unzipped timeon3.zip: Readme.txt - this file TimeOn.exe - TimeOn's executable file To install TimeOn simply copy TimeOn.exe to your prefered destination folder and then create a shortcut to TimeOn.exe in your Startup folder to start TimeOn automatically when you switch your computer on. ******************************************************* note : To run the applet you will now also need a copy of mfc40.dll in your windows/system folder. If you do not have a copy, you can download a copy from ChilLiSoft's home page at http://easyweb.easynet.co.uk/~dgo, where you will also find other ChilLiSoft products. ******************************************************* TimeOn is very straightforward in use, but should you have any queries or problems contact me by e-mail at the above address. I also welcome any suggestions for further enhancements. I look forward to hearing from you soon Daniel Godson
