Starting data acquisition

The Start Menu

• Clicking on this menu entry starts the data acquisition and fills the container with data.
• Afterwards the menu entries filter and search are enabled.

Filter Options

How to use the Filter Menu

Note : Initially all session types are selected.

• The Default choice
  • This includes all program objects which don't have a session type associated.
• The PM choice
  • This includes all PM programs.
• The OS/2 choice
  • This includes all OS/2 sessions.
• The Dos choice
  • This includes all Dos sessions.
• The Windows choice
  • This includes all Windows sessions.
• You can select the columns to be shown in the display.

  Note : Initially all columns are shown

• The Apply Menu entry
  • After selecting your preferences click this menu entry to switch to the filtered view.

Search

How to use the Search Menu

Note : Initially all fields are marked for searching.

• The Program Type entry
  • Select this one to search for specific program type entries.
• The Program Description entry
  • Select this one to search within the program description.
• The Program Parameter entry
  • Select this one to search for specific parameters.
• The Object ID entry.
  • Select this one to search for an object id,
• The Object Handle entry
  • Select this one to search for an object handle.
• The Settings entry
  • Select this one to search for specific program settings. This usually applies to Dos and WIndows programs.
• The Search entry
  • Presents you an entry field for your search text. You may choose between case significant and insignificant. Press the Search button to display all matching program entries or press cancel to abort the search.

Changing an Object Id

The Change Menu

• Clicking on this menu entry enables editing of an existing Object Id or specifying a new one. When done, click change again to make changes permanent or press Escape to abort editing.

  Note : Use the horizontal scrollbar to make the field visible if needed.

  This menuentry is disabled if Object Ids are filtered out.

Start Programs

Launch the selected program

Select a program entry from the main display and click on launch or press Alt l

ObjStart Overview

ObjStart Syntax 
ObjStart "<objectid>|objecthandle" {settings} ... "objectid|objecthandle" {settings} 

Parameter Description 
objectid 
This is the object id assigned when the object was created. 
 Note : You can also specify a file or path to open
them in the default view. 
A program object must be always surrounded by " and " 

object handle 
This is the persistent object handle shown in the handle column of the ObjSel program. 

settings 
They may be specified optionally and must follow the rules outlined in the description of "SysCreateObject". 
 Caution : It is not possible to modify the Object
Id with this program. Use ObjSel for this task. When specifying set
statetments there is no translation to uppercase. 

Registration

How to register

This is a full functional 30 day evaluation version. If you want to use the program after the 30 day limit, you must register.

If this program is part of the RoboJob package, just click on the pen icon in the RoboJob Folder for the order form. or for the BMT order form.

If you got this program standalone, just click on the pen icon in the ObjSel Folder for the order form.
