Scheduler 1.4 Macro based program scheduler. Freeware. No distribution limitations. Scheduler allows the execution of user defined commands at specified times. Commands are available to Start and Stop programs, Send keystrokes to windows and give messages to the user. As from version 1.3, scheduler can be run with a command line parameter specifying a macro to run. Once the macro has completed scheduler will close. This allows to to perform complex functions on an as required basis rather than on a scheduled basis. Possible uses include starting an offline newsreader during the middle of the night to download files (the original reason for creating this program), scheduling unattended backups of data or acting as an alarm clock to remind you when 'Friends' is on. It's complete and utter freeware so you don't need to feel guilty about copying it to your hard drive when nobodys looking. To install, simply copy all files to a directory and create a icon or shortcut. Some users have complained about mysterious GPF's when running Scheduler. These appear to be caused by a corruption in the schedule.sch file. Deleting the file (this will give an error message when you run scheduler until it rebuilds the file on changing macros) appears to solve the problem.
