Synchro Makes one directory, or directory branch, contain all files in another. If files already exist in the second directory by the same name, they will be updated unless they are newer (have a later date/time stamp). The unregistered version of Synchro does not handle subdirectories. If you want to synchronize subdirectories, you must register the product and receive your copy of the registered version. This program will handle long file names and network drives, as long as they are recognized by the operating system and mapped to a drive letter. Synchro does not delete files in any directory. It only adds files. For example, to use a network directory to update files in a directory on your local drive, select the network drive in one directory tree list, and the local directory in the other tree list. Then choose the arrow that points from the network directory tree list to the local tree list. All files from the network directory are copied to the local directory, unless a newer version of the file already exists locally. Dialog Box Options Directory There are two directory tree list boxes side by side, with an arrow and button panel between them. Select two directories you want to coordinate, one in each directory tree list box. Drive Use the drive selection boxes to select the drive of the directory. Arrows Click one of the arrow buttons to begin moving files between directories. ---> Copy files from the left directory to the right directory. <--- Copy files from right directory to left directory. <--> Copy files from both directories so that their contents match exactly. Limitations: This program is designed to run under Windows 95 or Windows NT 3.51 (or higher). ArisiaSoft cannot and does not guarantee that this program will work correctly in older versions of NT, nor that it will run under Windows 3.x. The shareware (unregistered) version of this program does not handle subdirectories. This limitation is removed in the registered version of the program. This program does not (at this time) recognize or handle "hidden" directories. It will, however, recognize and handle hidden, read-only, or system files.
