Welcome toZipMapper!

I created ZipMapper as a tool to automatically reload and change the LMHOSTS file so that I could connect to a friend's computer over the internet using his IP address.  After I realized how useful it really was, i added a bunch of stuff, and wrote a help file for it.


One of the things that I concentrated on when I added things is common networking tasks.  ZipMapper will allow you to modify LMHOSTS by adding, updateing, or removing entries, and re-loading the file automatically.  You can also map drives without having to use the "Connect Network Drive" dialog in file manager, which saves a lot of time.

ZipMapper  is written using Visual Basic 4.0.  I've tried to shave down the file sizes
as much as possible.  If ZipMapper  doesn't work because you don't have a runtime file
such as vb40032.dll on your system, visit my web site below and get them.  A full
install set is also available, which will guarantee that you have all the files necessary,
but will take a bit longer to download.  PowerCalc is compiled for 32 bit Windows 
platforms ONLY (i.e., Windows 95 and Windows NT ).  16 bit versions are not planned
unless there is demand for them.
