MiniWAV v1.0 - 16-bit WAV player for Windows 3.1x ---------------------------------------------------------- Description: ------------------ Adds three small audio control buttons (play, stop, rewind) and three application control buttons (mode, minimize, exit) to the Windows desktop. Starts playback of a wave file if the name of the file is given as a command line argument. If no file name is given as a command line argument, a file open dialog is displayed. Floats on top of other windows on the desktop, is movable. Can save files (use the pop up menu activated by pressing the right mouse button above the button bar), and load files. Very useful with a web browser, and as an associated viewer in Windows Explorer. Installation: ------------- Copy the file ctl3dv2.dll to your Windows\system directory and the file miniwav.exe to the directory of your choice. Create a new program item for MiniWAV.exe into one of the groups in Program Manager (e.g. startup). Registered vs. unregistered --------------------------- - The registered version of the program uses an INI file to save the location of the program window every time the program shuts down. So, the program 'remembers' it's previous location. - A mixer (volume control) application can also be specified in the INI file of the registered version. The mixer is started from the track selection pop up menu. - Of course, there is no message box appearing at the end of the program. - If you use the program beyond a 30 day trial period, you must register. There is more information on registering and registration benefits in the file REGISTER.TXT. Also available: --------------- - as a 32-bit version for Windows 95/NT. - Don't forget to check out the original MiniAPP, MiniCD 1.5!!!! It's available e.g. at ftp.winsite.com as minicd15.zip.
