Thank you for trying the WinSpeech text-to-speech product from PC WholeWare. This is a shareware version of the WinSpeech 3.0N. You may use it as long as needed for the purpose of evaluation. You are not allowed to use the software in this package which include but not limited to the WinSpeech program, the Dictionary Editor program and the text-to-speech DLL for any purposes other than the evaluation or the demonstration of the WinSpeech program. You are allowed to distribute unaltered copies of this shareware package. (This program does not run on Windows 3.1x. If you are running Windows 3.1x please get the WinSpeech 3.0. WinSpeech 3.0 has the same functionality as 3.0N and is designed for the 16-bit Windows.) ---------------------------------- TO INSTALL -------------------------------- If you have previous versions of WinSpeech (registered or shareware) program installed in your system, You can proceed with the setup if you plan to install this WinSpeech 3.0N version to the same directory as before. The setup program will overwrite your old files with new files and leave user- created files untouched. You should manually remove the following files: For WinSpeech 1.0, 2.0 users: Remove "wspeech.ini" from Windows directory. For WinSpeech 3.0 users: Remove "wspeech.ini" from Windows directory. Remove "wsplib20.dll" and "wspkey.dll" from Windows system directory. To proceed with the installation: For Windows 95 or NT 4.0 users: Select "Run" from the "Start" menu on the Task bar. Type "a:setup" (or "b:setup") then press . Follow the online instuctions to finish the setup. For Windows NT 3.x users: Select "Run" from the "File" menu in the Program Manager. Type "a:setup" (or "b:setup") then press . Follow the online instuctions to finish the setup. --------------------------------- TO UNINSTALL ------------------------------- WinSpeech 3.0N comes with an uninstall program that can clean up all the installed files and the Registry for you.
