MusicEase for Windows v5.0 Copyright (C) 1990-1997 Gary Rader All Rights Reserved *** Installation *** If you have downloaded this file to your hard drive, we recommend that you copy the SETUP.EXE file to a 'temporary' subdirectory. Once the installation is complete, you can then go back and delete the SETUP.EXE file from the temporary subdirectory. WINDOWS 3.x -- activate the Program Manager, select Run from the File menu, select the BROWSE button, and navigate to the drive/directory that contains the SETUP.EXE file. Highlight the SETUP.EXE file and click the OK button, then click the OK button in the next window, and follow the prompts. WINDOWS 95 -- activate the Start menu, select the Run option, select the BROWSE button, and navigate to the drive/directory that contains the SETUP.EXE file. Highlight the SETUP.EXE file and click the OK button, then click the OK button in the next window, and follow the prompts. *** Requirements *** MusicEase for Windows is a 32-bit application, which normally means that Windows 95 or Windows NT is required. However, this program will run under Windows 3.1 or Windows for Workgroups 3.11 *IF* the Microsoft 32-bit extensions have been installed (see WIN32S.TXT for details). *** Documentation *** For full documentation, including context sensitive help, press the F1 key at any time while running MusicEase Professional for Windows. *** Scores from Previous Versions *** Scores created by DOS versions of MusicEase can be imported into this Windows version. However, they must first be converted using the DOS program MECONVRT.EXE which resides in the MusicEase directory. This program must be run from DOS. It prompts for the name of the original file and the result file (the same filename can be used for both). The result file can then be loaded into this Windows version of MusicEase.
