CTS IOInfo DESCRIBE.TXT This file includes sample descriptions which you may use to describe the CTS IOInfo package. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Program Information ---------------------------------------------------------------------- File Name for BBSs ------------------ The CTS IOInfo package uses a naming convention of IOInfo.yyy, where "yyy" is the extension showing the compression method used. The preferred name is: IOInfo11.ZIP CTS IOInfo version 1.1 If the program is compressed using some other file compression method, then please use the name "IOInfo" with the appropriate extension (ARC, LZH, EXE (for self-extracting), etc.) Keywords -------- I/O, IO, Input/Output, Address, Sound, Modem, Install, Utilities, Hardware, Testing, System Category -------- System Utility, Hardware Utility, Diagnostic or Test Utility One Line Description -------------------- CTS IOInfo v1.1 displays a map of the system I/O address space Description ----------- CTS IOInfo is a system utility that detects what I/O addresses are used and available in the computer. Use IOInfo before installing a new device, including sound cards, modems, network cards or any card that uses an I/O address space (most cards do). IOInfo runs in DOS and should also be run in each operating system used by the computer (Windows, Windows 95, Windows NT and OS/2). The registered version saves a report to disk for each environment and automatically combines the reports from each environment into a single comprehensive report. System requirements: IBM or 100% compatible PC, XT, AT, 286, 386 or better using DOS versions 2.1 or higher. IOInfo requires about 10 Kbytes of disk space, and uses ess than 800 bytes of system memory when running.
