Quickseek adds an Infoseek button and search box to Netscape Navigator or Microsoft Internet Explorer. Now you can search the Net from anywhere, no matter what Web site you are viewing! The Windows 95/NT version is compatible with Netscape Navigator 2.0 or better (including 4.0), and Microsoft Internet Explorer 3.0. Please note that the Windows 3.1 and Power Macintosh versions of Quickseek only work with Netscape Navigator versions 2.0-3.0. Download Quickseek for Windows For Windows 95, Windows NT - Version 3.0 (P1f) 1. Click here to download (737k) from Infoseek's FTP site. 2. A "Save As" dialog will appear. Click the down arrow on the "Save in" box, and select "Desktop" from the choices that appear. 3. Click the "Save" button. This will save the Quickseek installation program, qs30_32.exe, to your desktop. 4. Be sure to exit Netscape or Internet Explorer before running qs30_32.exe. 5. Double-click on the qs30_32.exe icon and follow the instructions. When the installation is complete, start Netscape Navigator or Internet Explorer. An Infoseek search box will now appear next to Netscape's or Internet Explorer's location bar. Use Quickseek To Search the World Wide Web using Quickseek: 1. Click in the search box, and type a few words that describe what you want to find. 2. Click on the Infoseek button, or press Enter. To Search Infoseek's other collections or to access Infoseek's other features: 1. On Win 95, NT or 3.1, right mouse click on the Infoseek button, and on the PowerMac press and hold the Infoseek button. 2. Highlight the desired searchable collection or feature and click. If you don't see Infoseek Quickseek, then please check the following: * Your Netscape Navigator window may not be wide enough, so try resizing it. * The directory buttons toolbar might not be turned on. Use the Options menu and select Show Directory Buttons to activate them.
