>>>The FX Sound System Adds 16-bit SOUND! For RIPterm 2.2 Users!<<< ______________________________________________________________________ FX WAVES ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ To hear FX Sound you must be calling the BBS with RIPterm 2.2, the BBS must be using the FX System, and the Waves (all, part, or your own custom waves) must be present in your main Ripterm\Icons directory. Due to the nature of the way Waves work with RIP 2 you can customize the sounds you actually hear, and there will cetainly be "Alternate" wave archives available soon! You can easily customize your own sounds.. Here's how you do it.... simply find the replacement wave you want to use and rename it as one of the FX*.wav files that are used in the game. For example: If you prefer to hear a different music than the standard Waves...rename the *.WAV you want to hear to FXRIF1.WAV (as kind of an Intro), FXRIF2.WAV (as kind of an exit), and FXRIF3.WAV (as kind of a fight rythm)... For other sounds just look at the file names I've given them... I've tried to make the names somewhat reflect where they appear. *special note: be sure the waves you use are not excessivly long because it will most certainly make the sound a bit choppy... I hope you enjoy this new experience in LORD and encourage all those sysops out there to get it. For the latest version and updated waves you can call my BBS...
