BUDGETS One of the usual problems in setting up a budget is that your pay, or deposit, periods are not of the same duration as your expenses. The most frequent example is the person who gets paid every week but pays rent once a month (which is 4.33 weeks). This mis-match is easily handled by the computer. Simply highlight each category, click on the payment period (weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, bi-monthly, quarterly, semi-annual or annual) and enter the amount of your payment based on that payment period. The computer will then automatically calculate your budget total based upon a weekly pay (deposit) period. To change your pay (deposit) period, simply click on a different pay period option button. You can then go back and adjust any budget category until your budget total equals your total pay (deposit) for the pay period you select. Note that all values are net values, ie/ take home pay, not gross pay before taxes (unless you want to separately budget for taxes). Again, don't have too many budget categories, and don't budget to the last penny. (This program rounds all entries off to the nearest dollar anyway!) A budget is only a guide to help you plan your spending, and can always easily be changed in a computer program such as this one. END
