Training Tools is a set of programs designed to make computer demonstration and instruction more effective.  It is ideal for Software instructors, application developers or anyone who needs to show others how to use specific applications.  The tools are designed to be run TOGETHER with the application to be demonstrated.

1. INSTALLING TRAINING TOOLS
----------------------------
In addition to this ReadMe file, you should have a file called SETUP.EXE, which is a self-installing executable.  Run this program to install the Training Tools into a directory of your choosing.


2. UNINSTALLING TRAINING TOOLS
------------------------------
If you should ever decide that Training Tools is not meeting your needs, you can easily uninstall the software by double-clicking the Uninstall icon in the Training Tools directory.  You may also open Control Panel, select ADD/REMOVE Programs and find "ThunderWare Training Tools" in the list of programs to uninstall.  When you click the Uninstall button, all of the applications and their components will be systematically removed.


3. CHANGES IN VERSION 2.1
-------------------------
Training Tools 2.1 is a minor upgrade.  MINOR UPGRADES ARE FREE TO REGISTERED USERS!  During the installation, your Registration number will be automatically filled in and you can immediately begin using a registered version of Training Tools 2.1.  We strongly suggest UnInstalling the previous version before upgrading (you will not lose your registered status.)

BUG FIXES:
 - The "hanging menu" problem on the taskbar icons was fixed.
 - The confusing "Cancel" item was removed from the menu.

IMPROVEMENTS:
 - The Start menu contains shortcuts to all appropriate tools.
 - The User Interface was updated to a "Window 95" look.
 - System resource information was added to the About screen.
 - A Register button was added to the About screen.
 - Credit card information is more easily available.
 - The Registration reminder is much more subtle.
 - Our web address was incorporated into the Help file.
 - The Help file was updated for accuracy.
 - Performance was slightly improved.

NAME CHANGE:
 - The entire suite was renamed Training Tools (from SoftShow) to better reflect it's purpose.


4. REGISTERING
--------------
A fully registered copy of Training Tools is $29.95.  To register, perform one of the following steps, depending on your method of payment:

***** For fastest service, pay by Credit Card (Visa, Mastercard or Discover).  We have contracted with NorthStar Credit Card Solutions to provide that service for our customers.  To register this software with your credit card, call NorthStar Solutions at 1-800-699-6395 and tell them you are registering ThunderWare's Training Tools (Product #1199).  They take orders from 10:00am - 10:00pm, Eastern Standard Time and can give you your registration number immediately over the phone.  This is the option you should choose if you need the registration number immediately.  Take the registration number given to you by the NorthStar representative and type it into the Training Tools Registration program.

***** We can also take your order on our web site at http://www.intrex.net/ThunderWare.  We will return your registration number by phone, email or the method that you indicate is most convenient for you.

***** If you would rather pay by check, please make it out to ThunderWare, PO BOX 52182, RALEIGH, NC  27612.  Indicate on your check how we should contact you with your Registration Number (phone and email are fastest).
