Welcome to AlphaPro 1.0 for OS/2!

This OS/2 bi-lingual spelling and counting game is designed for young 
computer users from the ages of 2 years to 6 years old.  It is very 
basic by design, yet the options for customizing the program are 
infinite, depending on how many different icons and bitmaps you can 
acquire. The controls are large to enable young users to easily use 
the program. 

How it works: Alpha Pro consists of a main window covered with buttons 
corresponding to the letters of the alphabet and the numbers 
one (1) through ten (10).

The child clicks on a button, and another window is displayed with 
large size character, a English or Spanish word that starts with the 
character, the equivalent in English or Spanish and a small graphic 
in icon format that represents the word in question.


Installation

Files in this release:
ALPHAPRO.EXE    - runtime executable
ENGLISH.TXT     - Support file in English
ESPA¥OL.TXT     - Support file in Spanish
ALPHAPRO.HLP    - help file
*.bmp           - default bitmaps
*.ico           - default icons

Create a directory or subdirectory for AlphaPro on a local drive. 
Copy all files to that directory. Create a program object for the 
alphapro.exe file. Leave it on the desktop or place it in the games 
folder.

AlphaPro can be customized by using additional icons and bitmaps. 
You can find other bitmaps most anywhere, such as web pages for zoos 
and publications such as National Geographic. If you wish to edit 
the default bitmaps or icons, see the online help for more information.


Using the AlphaPro registration dialog

When AlphaPro is loaded, it defaults to demonstration mode and a 
registration dialog is shown. When you have received your key from 
BMT Micro, enter your name in the top text entry field. Enter your 
key in the entry field at the bottom of the window. Clicking on 
the button labled "Save / Guardar" will process the registration 
information and close the window.
