Running MicroCook under Windows(TM) 3.0 or 3.1 MicroCook will run fine in Windows. To install MicroCook in Windows follow the guide lines below. WARNING! If you are running MicroCook in a window (ALT-ENTER), DISABLE (set to 0) the screen saver in Setup. The graphics modes used by Windows and MCDOODLE.EXE are NOT compatible. When MicroCook run in a full DOS window, the screen saver work fine. "Click" mean to place the mouse cursor on the item and press the left mouse button. 1. Load Windows (of course), and click on the window group where you want MicroCook. 2. Click on File on the Menu bar 3. Click on New 4. The "Program Item" should have a black dot in the circle on the left side, if not, click in the circle by "Program Item". Next click on the OK button. 5. Place the cursor in "Description" box, and type in the name you want to appear in Windows (MicroCook?). 6. Move to the "Command line" box and type: MCOOK.EXE 7. Next move to the "Working directory" box and type in the name of the directory where MicroCook is located. (C:\MCOOK?) 8. Click on the "Change Icon" button. 9. You will now see a message stating that there are no icons available for the specific file. Click on the OK button. 10. Click on the "Browse" button in the next window. In the lower right side of the window, the directories are listed. Click on "C:\" at the top of the list. Now all the directories in the root directory will be displayed. Move the scroll bar down so you see the name of the MicroCook directory, and click on the directory name. 11. You should now see the name of 3 icon files, MCOOK1.ICO, MCOOK2.ICO and MCOOK3.ICO. 12. Click on one of the icon files. The icon will now be displayed in the lower left corner of the Property Window you are in. If you want to see what the other 2 icons look like, repeat from step 8 above. Click on the OK button when you have the icon you want to use displayed. That's all!
