read all of this notice before continuing to install
ResSched.  It contains information on logging on to
ResSched for the first time as well as other important
information.   

Reading the Introduction and 'The Basics' in the
ResSched HELP file  before running ResSched, will get
you started quickly.

This information is repeated in ReadMe.Txt

In using the software the user agrees that in no event
shall Madrigal Soft Tools Inc. or its suppliers be
liable for consequential, incidental or indirect damages
of any kind arising out of the delivery, performance or
use of the software, even if Madrigal Soft Tools Inc.
has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
The user also agrees that in no event will Madrigal
Soft Tools Inc.'s liability for any claim exceed the
license fee paid by the user.

associated documentation is held exclusively by
Madrigal Soft Tools Inc.  Terms and conditions for 
any distribution of ResSched Single User can be found
in the Help file.  If the Help file (resschm.hlp) is
not available further distribution is prohibited.  


------------ Evaluation ----------------------

You are free to evaluate this fully functional software
under actual working conditions for 21 days. After 21
days, you must license the software if you wish to
continure using it.  Although ResSched Single User will
continue to work after 21 days,  access wil be
increasingly delayed by one second for each day since
the evaluation period expired.    



------------  Installation -------------------

If you choose to install the executable files and help
file in different directories from the data files you
must change the Working Directory (Windows 3.1 or NT)
or Start In property (Windows 95) of the ResSched Program
Item to reflect the location of the data files.

The file SYSLIC3.TPS must be placed in the same directory
as your data files.


--------Converting Older Versions --------------------- 

If you have been using a version of ResSched earlier
than 3.0a,  you must run CONVOLD.EXE to convert your data
before using ResSched for the first time. 


We strongly recommend you follow this order:

1) create a new directory for this version of ResSched
on a workstation;

2) install this version of ResSched into the new
directory;

3) place a COPY of your existing data files (*.TPS)
into the new directory and make a separate secure
copy of your existing data files 

4) run CONVOLD.EXE and respond to its queries. CONVOLD
   converts your data files to RESDATA.TPS and modifies
   SYSLIC3.TPS to reflect your current license status. 

5) run the new version of ResSched and confirm that
your data has been converted correctly.

6) remove the old version of ResSched.


Please note that the new version of ResSched can not
access the data of the old version and vice versa.
  


------------- SHARE.EXE or VSHARE.386 -----------------

Windows 3.1 users must have either SHARE as a command in
their AUTOEXEC.BAT file before the "win" command or the 
VSHARE.386 device driver loaded in their SYSTEM.INI file
(in your C:\windows directory).  Many users will have 
one or the other already in their system set up.
  
If you get a "File Creation" or sharing violation errors
message on opening ResSched,  check to see one or the
other is present.  If both are missing, consult your
DOS or Windows documentation for specific instructions
on changing your autoexec.bat or system.ini file. The 
File Creation error also occurs if you do not have 
SYSLIC3.TPS in your shared data directory.
