FREESTYLE for WORD (Version 1.1)

INTRODUCTION

FreeSTYLE is an add-on program that builds on Microsoft's use of 
styles to radically improve the way you work with Word. 

FreeSTYLE offers 4 main areas of advantage:

1. Improved structuring (eg consistency & ease-of-use across all documents)
2. Improved formatting (eg instantly reformat your entire document)
3. Improved navigation (eg jump instantly to any defined content or text) 
4. Improved document handling (eg handle multiple versions from the same file)

FreeSTYLE puts you in complete control of your documents and the content 
they contain. By marking content and taking control, you can put the 
sense into - and get the sense back out of - all the documents you 
create. FreeSTYLE has been designed to deliver on the Microsoft promise of
"information at your fingertips".

THE FREESTYLE TEMPLATE

The power of FreeSTYLE is available to all your documents through a 
single, easily-installed Word template, FSTYLE.DOT. This offers its 
own menu, control and shortcuts in addition to Word’s own functionality.
Word's normal working practice is left unaffected.  The program works 
on English language versions of Microsoft Word for Windows from version 
6.0 to version 8.0 (and so crossing the Windows 3.1/95 divide).

INSTALLING FREESTYLE

The easiest way to install FreeSTYLE is to:

1. Copy all the FreeSTYLE files into their own subdirectory.
2. Load Word and open the INSTALL.DOC file
   (some virus checkers and Word 97 will first check that you really do
   want to load the file and enable macros)
3. Double-click the Install FreeSTYLE / Check Installation command button
   (this will copy the FSTYLE.DOT template into your Word startup directory)

USING FREESTYLE

Because FreeSTYLE is installed as a global template it will 
automatically load whenever you run Word. To use FreeSTYLE with a 
file, the program must first copy over its styles and various internal 
settings. The program will offer to do this automatically when you 
select any FreeSTYLE command. If the file has not yet been saved, you 
will be asked to save it so that FreeSTYLE can proceed.

CONDITIONS OF USE

This is a fully working evaluation version of FreeSTYLE for 
Microsoft Word for Windows. There are no limitations in terms of 
functionality or length of use, but if you regularly use the program 
you will be reminded to register. To permanently use FreeSTYLE you 
must register this evaluation version. Registration costs US$30 or 
UKŁ18 + VAT.

VERSION HISTORY

Version 1.0 was the first limited release version.

credit card payment, web site information etc.

You are free to share this evaluation version of FreeSTYLE with your
friends so long as you do not alter the FSTYLE.DOT, FSMANUAL.DOC and
INSTALL.DOC files.
