PhotoVista 1.0 Pre-release

 Welcome to PhotoVista 1.0 Pre-release. PhotoVista creates
 spectacular 360-degree panoramas automatically, produces
 high-quality images optimized for Web publishing (the image
 files are extremely compact), and delivers next-generation
 multimedia applications for more compelling commerce sites,
 promotions, entertainment, and training services.

 System Requirements

    o Windows® 95 or Windows NT 3.51 or higher (3.51 not
      available for this pre-release)
    o 8 MB available hard disk space

 NOTE:
 For best quality images, set your monitor resolution higher than
 256 colors.

 Installation Instructions

   1. Navigate to the directory where you downloaded the
      installer, and then double-click the file, photovista.exe.
      The InstallShield Self-Extractor dialog box appears.
   2. Click Yes. The PhotoVista installer launches the
      InstallShield® Wizard.
   3. Follow the prompting of the InstallShield Wizard until it
      comes to the directory to install PhotoVista. Be sure to
      accept the default installation location; do not install
      directly to your c:\ directory.
   4. If you want, you can select Custom Installation, which
      allows you to choose whether or not to install the
      RealSpace Screen Saver, or to install it at a later time.
   5. Follow the remaining prompts of the InstallShield Wizard to
      complete the installation.


 Installed Components

 The following components are installed:

    o PhotoVista 1.0 Pre-release
    o Online Help (photovista.hlp)
    o Quick-Start Tutorial (available from the Help menu)
    o Read Me file (pvreadme.txt) into Program Files\Live
      Picture\PhotoVista
    o Sample images into Program Files\Live
      Picture\PhotoVista\Stitchme

 You can also download the RealSpaceViewer (formerly RealVR
 Traveler), available as a standalone application or browser
 plug-in. For more information about the RealSpace technology,
 read the RealSpace white paper.

 Uninstall Instructions

   1. From the Start menu, choose Settings, and then choose
      Control Panel. The Control Panel window appears.
   2. Double-click Add/Remove Programs. The Add/Remove Programs
      Properties window appears.
   3. Click the Install/Uninstall tab, and then select PhotoVista
      in the scroll list.
   4. Click the Add/Remove button.
   5. In the Confirm File Deletion message box, click Yes to
      remove PhotoVista from your hard drive. The UninstallShield
      program notifies you when the uninstall is complete.
   6. Click OK, and then close the Add-Remove Programs Properties
      window.

 Note: If you installed the RealSpace Screen Saver at a later
 time than the original installation, this program will not be
 removed by the Uninstall program. You need to delete this file
 (Realspace Saver.scr) from the Windows\System directory.

 Known Issues

    o Windows NT 3.51 is not available for this pre-release.
    o You need to install to the default location; for this
      pre-release do not install directly to your c:\ directory.
    o The 8mm fisheye lens has not been certified; the 16mm
      fisheye lens has been certified.
